Northwest Stories is the songwriting duo of Adam Fink and RJ Rouse, based in Meridian, Idaho. Blending folk‑pop warmth with cinematic textures, they make music designed to uplift and connect. Influences include Noah Kahan, Hollow Coves, Caamp, Gregory Alan Isakov, Jon Bellion, and Ben Rector.
In true independent spirit, every part of the process happens in‑house—writing, recording, mixing, and mastering—so the songs stay personal and unfiltered. Adam and RJ first connected online as fans of each other’s work; when Adam moved to Meridian in early 2021, they met in person, started collaborating, and by the end of 2021 launched Northwest Stories.
Since then, they’ve released The Harvest and Eternities (an official selection at Zions Indie Film Festival) and brought their “story concert” version of Eternities to the stage. Recent highlights include the placement of “Greener” in Netflix’s Virgin River. Through it all, the mission stays simple: make music that’s good for you—songs that lift people higher emotionally and spiritually.
