Weekly Creative Content Director

Northwest Stories is looking for someone creative from our community to help us make one memorable video per week. Our goal is simple: create posts that help new people discover our music and give our audience something worth tuning in for every week.

Why we're looking

Northwest Stories is unique because we do everything ourselves. We write, record, mix, and master our songs, plan our shows, build our websites, run our marketing, and handle the behind-the-scenes work.

We release music often and have a lot planned, and we want our videos to get the same creativity and care we put into everything else. It's the one area we want to hand to someone who can give it their full attention and make it their own.

This person would get to hear new songs early, help shape creative ideas before they go public, and become an important part of what we're building.

What you'll do

Each week, you'll help create one memorable video. You can film it yourself, edit footage from us, or tell us exactly what you need us to film. We'll collaborate however we can, but we want you to take creative ownership and make this your own.

Pay

$400/month for a 60-day trial
Includes 1 finished video per week.

Performance bonuses

Each post is measured 28 days after it goes live, based on combined organic views across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

From Will McCartt

“I wrote this song after having moved back home to my small town in east Tennessee from Colorado. I was struggling a lot with feeling like i was ‘moving backwards’ in life. This songs is a reminder that life doesn’t work that way. We only get to move in one direction, and like it or not it happens fast. This song is a reminder to myself to slow down and focus on the good things, to be present and to enjoy! You only get the chance one time.”

Lyrics

This town's full of people
Far from their home
Put a finger to a map
West of what's known
Grab that old dusty journal
Filled with hopes and dreams
Wishing on the stars
For a change in scenery

Flower grown fields
Give way to the sea
As old county roads
Pass out memories
Chills on your skin
From the warmth in the breeze
As you pass by the signs
You thought you'd never leave

Baby keep on drivin'
Don't you ever look back
Keep your eyes on the horizon
Oh, it's coming fast
Baby keep on drivin'
Don't you ever look back
Keep your eyes on the horizon
Oh, it changes fast

Snow covered hills
Rise up from the streams
As the white waters run
Across fallen trees
Taking the turns
Of the great unknown
While the mockingbirds sing
Their familiar songs

Baby keep on drivin'
Don't you ever look back
Keep your eyes on the horizon
Oh, it's coming fast
Baby keep on drivin'
Don't you ever look back
Keep your eyes on the horizon
Oh, it changes fast
